American indie-pop singer-songwriter Bella Kay has just announced her return to Ireland with a headline show at National Stadium, Dublin for Friday, 12th February 2027!
Bella Kay has quickly emerged as one of the most emotionally resonant new stars in pop. Bella writes songs that come alive with intimacy and ache, exploring heartache, alienation, and survival with refreshing honesty and messiness. Her music is bare-faced and gutsy, delivered with a powerful, timeless voice atop a sound that blends fuzzy alternative-pop with the tender guitar hooks.
On her debut album, My Reckless Abandon, the 20-year-old songwriter goes on a journey of self-acceptance and introspection amidst messy highs and lows. Across 13 tracks, she navigates her relationship to herself and others with the characteristic wit and candor established on previously released singles like “Promise?” and the smash hit “iloveitiloveitiloveit,” both included here.
Born in Houston, Bella spent her childhood moving frequently, criss-crossing Texas with her siblings and parents, who work in the travel industry. Beyond a brief stint in homeschooling, she frequently played the role of “new girl,” relying on humor to adapt to evolving social dynamics that could be strained or exclusionary for a young bi-racial girl. Along the way, Bella got to know her own inner world very well. “With all those moves, I didn't have time to lose myself in friends,” she says. “I had to have a strong relationship with myself.”
In February 2026, Bella shared her second EP, a couple minutes out. Each song is deep in the throes of yearning, from lingering thoughts of a lost love to desiring something but feeling incapable of having it. “I can't treat you right if I treat myself like this,” she sings with disarming honesty on the slow-burning “Steady.” “I need to get better, swear I'm working on it.” Longing obliterates her better judgment on “iloveitiloveitiloveit,” an earworm about throwing romantic caution to the wind. “I'm very in tune with my emotions when it comes to relationships,” Bella says.“I know when something is bad for me, but I'm pretty much always going to do it anyway.” Listeners could relate—the song’s meteoric ascent has resulted in Bella’s Hot 100 debut, an American Music Awards nomination for “Song of the Summer,” and over 445 million streams and 3.3 billion views across 1.3 million TikTok creates to date.
