Napalm Death bring the Campaign For Musical Destruction to The Academy on 18th February 2027
Batten down the hatches, Abbey Street. The fathers of grindcore, Napalm Death, are coming back to The Academy, Dublin on Thursday 18th February 2027, dragging their Campaign For Musical Destruction 2027 Tour behind them like a wrecking ball on a short chain.
They're not travelling light either. Special guests Misery Index, Author & Punisher, Habak and Piece are along for the ride, which makes it less a gig and more a siege. Bring earplugs and a sense of adventure.
For the uninitiated: the Birmingham crew pushed metal to new extremes of ear-splitting intensity, pioneering grindcore with crust punk, death metal, down-tuned guitars, blast beats, growls, shrieks, very short songs and sociopolitical lyrics. Subtlety was never on the menu. Nearly 40 years on, they're still hurtling forward at full pelt, and there's still no band on Earth that sounds like them. Most acts soften with time; Napalm Death simply sharpened the edges. Savage.
